BS
25999-2 was published in November 2007 and specifies the requirements for a
management system that ensures that your organisation can continue to
operate in the event of business disruption, whether that is a major
disaster or a minor incident.
Implementing a Business Continuity Management System based upon BS 25999 is
a way of minimising the impact of an incident upon your organisation, and
the interests of your customers and stakeholders
Developing a Business
Continuity Management System requires you to consider how you would deal
with situations you don't normally experience. For example a flu
pandemic, a failure of your IT system or the loss of your water supply.
These are often situations unfamiliar to management and the use of a
consultant enables you to establish the optimal incident management plan,
quickly and efficiently.
Atlantic Consultants can help you with all aspects of establishing and
maintaining a Business Continuity Management System including:
- Undertaking Business Impact Analysis and Risk Assessments
- Designing and documenting system requirements
- Drawing up Incident Management Plans
- Devising and supervising exercises
- Training for all staff
- Auditing your system
