	What you will learn
	At the end of this practical course, delegates will be able to: Describe the responsibilities of Internal Auditors, and their role in maintaining and improving ISO 14001 environmental management systems Explain the purpose and structure of ISO 14001 Plan and prepare for an ISO 14001 internal audit of the environmental management system Gather objective evidence through observation, interview and sampling of documents and records Write factual audit reports that help to improve the effectiveness of the Environmental management system Suggest ways in which the effectiveness of corrective action might be verified

	Managers and staff who are, or about to become, members of the organisation’s audit team .
	Prior knowledge required
	Working knowledge of how ISO 14001 is applied within their organisation or completion of ISO 14001 / EMS Introductory Course If delegates have no knowledge of ISO 14001, consider our 2 day ISO 14001 / EMS Internal Auditor Course
	Course details
	The course is designed around the Internal Auditor course guidelines issued by the IRCA and RAB and include the following:  Principles of environmental management systems Audit planning Practical auditing techniques Practice audit Reporting and follow-up
